His Story
Mr David Nana Yaw Nkrumah Boa Essilfie — affectionately called “Dada Last,” “Uncle David,” and, in his hometown, “Danaase” — was born on 1st January 1942 at Denkyira Akropong. A distinguished electrical engineer for more than thirty-five years, he served with the Electricity Corporation of Ghana, VALCO, and later as a consultant, helping bring electricity to communities across Ghana and beyond.
A devoted Methodist, a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a man of boundless generosity, he was called home on 12th July 2026 at the age of 84. The children who once ran after his car singing “Da naase, da Onyame ase” captured the spirit of his life: give thanks, give thanks to God.
